Parents are generous people
Parents are generous people who sacrifice personal goals and pleasures in favor of caring for their children. Parents can guide their children by feeding them the correct food and by selecting the best community, the best peer group and the best schools they can identify and afford.
Children are exposed to major health problems from their food supply. Children eat the most processed and chemically contrived foods of any age group. For years, official food rules suggest that children eat from the four food groups: milk, eggs, meat, and whole grain cereals as staple foods. Boxed cereal and milk is a common breakfast. The cereal has been nutritionally fortified, and so has the milk; nutrient intake may be satisfactory by nutrient accounting, but what about the impact of the food on the child as a whole?
We have found that milk and wheat allergy is common in children and may cause both physical symptoms and also contribute to learning and behavioral problems. A peanut butter-jam sandwich and a carton of milk must be the most common school lunch, followed by the most common afternoon symptoms - flushing, congestion, fatigue, irritability, and inability to concentrateWrong Foods Cause Suffering
We are convinced that children suffer when they eat wrong foods and exercise too little. We recognize the association of physical symptoms with emotional, behavioral and learning disturbances. The emotional-behavioral problems we see in children with faulty diets range from depression to attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity.
Each child has individual needs. Your task is to find the best-fit food choices for your child's special biological requirements. You become the therapist and quickly learn to interpret your child's symptoms in a biological manner and make appropriate decisions about the right food supply. By monitoring your child's progress, you can identify recurring problems, and change the food selection to avoid them.
When you realize that a child's food selections can contribute to illness, behavioral problems, or learning dysfunction, you adopt a different approach to eating. Food is no longer recreational.
If a child is allergic to milk proteins, he or she will have a collection of symptoms and behavioral disturbances. For example, a four year old boy was frequently ill and disturbed the whole family with his temper tantrums. He received recurrent antibiotics for cold, cough, and ear infections. His mother was desperate and had sought help from several doctors but nothing they suggested helped. He was a fussy eater who would eat only bread with peanut butter, cookies, popsicles and 4 glasses of milk every day. All his symptoms cleared when this mother followed the Alpha Nutrition Program.
Mother is often the leader when a child needs help. She will first try minor diet changes that are not helpful and will consult with family, friends, and professional advisers. She will collect different and contradictory opinions and will feel frustrated and confused. Desperate for a solution, she will finally do the right thing and start complete diet revision.
